Bettye J. Mohamed Ali

Bettye J. Brisbon Mohamed Ali was called home to eternal rest on April 9, 2026. A beloved mother, grandmother, educator, artist; traveler, and Faithful servant of God, Bettye lived a life rooted in love, compassion, creativity, and service to others. 

Bettye was preceded in death by her parents, James and Blanche Brisbon; siblings, Thema, Charles, and James Jr., and her beloved husband, Faisal Mohamed Ali. 

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her devoted son, Asfaw Jr. II, beloved grandchildren, Asfaw III and Arrequin; niece, Terry Wise; Nephews, Theodore "Teddy", Benjamin (Chakrena), Eric Brisbon Stewart (Terrance), Francis, and Derrick; along with a host of great-nieces/nephews, extended family members, dear friends, former students, and all whose lives were touched by her kindness and love. 

Bettye was a beautiful soul whose kindness, creativity, and generosity left a lasting imprint on everyone she encountered.
