Transitioned to his heavenly home on Wednesday, April 29, 2020. Charles was born in Columbia, SC though the majority of his adult life was spent in the DC area. He was the beloved husband of Reton Young Gaffney. He is also survived by one brother Thomas Gaffney (Jacqueline), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic the viewing will be held on Saturday, May 9th, 2020 at 10:00am to 10:45am. This will be a closed casket service and masks are required to be worn. The service will be held at Robinson Funeral Home located at 1313 6th St. NW, Washington, DC. The Service and Interment will be private.
A celebration of Charles' life will be held at a later date. Charles was a lifelong learner who loved new things but treasured the old.
