Born to the Late Gilbert Mackall and Mary Gorman in Huntingtown, Maryland. She was later raised by her step-father Calvin Gorman. After high school she relocated to Washington, DC. After retiring from the government, she owned and operated a Daycare, "Dot's Tots" for five years. She became a faithful member of First Rising Mt. Zion Baptist Church; serving in a multitude of ministries while worshiping there. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Rev. William "Bill" Fowlkes, daughter, Tina Marie Wells, bonus sons, William O. and Daryl (Deneen) Fowlkes; grandchildren, Daryl, Leah, Isaiah, and Anaiah; sister, Mary (Norman) Mackall, special nephew, Carlton and dear friend, Arlene Williams, as well as, a host of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her son, Willie Wells, and her brother, George Mackall.
