Jason Milner Obituary

Jason Ambrosino Milner died on December 14. 2021 at the age of 48 in Washington, DC. He was born on April 18, 1973, in Cherry Hill, New Jersey to Donald and Patti Milner. Memorialized at The Pavilion at Occoquan Regional Park; 9751 Ox Road; Lorton, Virginia 22079 on May 14 at 3PM.

Jason studied theater at Susquehanna University and moved to Washington, DC in 2000 at the prodding of his friends Chris and Craig (who was his first roommate in DC). He worked as a stage manager for Cherry Red Productions and box office manager at Woolly Mammoth Theater company. He later was a contractor coordinating training and editing technical documents for the FAA until a major illness in 2016 led to his disability.

Jason was an avid collector of Transformers owning over 500 robots that were more than meets the eye as well as comic books and DVDs. He loved Shakespeare, fantasy writer Tad Williams, Star Trek, Billboard charts, and the Washington Nationals. He was fascinated by genealogy, and anything related to space. Jason loved music, especially the Dave Matthews Band, prog rock, and obscure bands from the 80s and 90s. He was also a devoted cat dad to Patience, Saffron, Meathead, and Tribble. He was kind, funny, loving and also sometimes grumpy and occasionally taciturn but never cynical. He loved his wife like nobody’s business.

Jason is survived by his beloved wife Jenn, brother Lincoln, sister-in-law Amanda, aunts Cheryl, Elaine, and Becky as well as nephews Isaac and Eli Milner, nieces Kaitlyn and Megan McVeigh, sisters-in-law Margaret and Patty, cat Patience, many cousins, and countless friends. Jason was predeceased by his parents. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his name to the American Diabetes Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
