LeRoy Brannock (Junior) Obituary

LeRoy Alfonzo Brannock (Junior), a loving father and brother, passed away suddenly at his home in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, December 18, 2024.  Born in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late LeRoy Alfonzo Brannock, Sr. and Alice Brannock, and the nephew of the late Irene B. Miller. He attended Cardoza High School and later enlisted in the U.S. Army as a Medical Specialist and served in the Vietnam war, where he received several commendation medals. After retiring from the army, he worked for the Department of Navy as a Supply Specialist at Pearl Harbor. Upon returning to Washington, D.C. to be his mother’s caretaker, he worked at Macy’s and Walter E. Washington Convention Center. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved daughters, Tracey Wilson (Andrew) and Lisa Brannock; one sister, Lucille Asbury (William) and one brother, Vincent Brannock, Sr. (Valetta); five grandchildren, Gregory, Antonio, Jr., Nathaniel Jr., Clifton, Jr., and Chyna; and one great-grandson, Tristan; one niece, Tasha C. Carter (James Jr.), and two nephews, Vincent Brannock, Jr., and William L. Asbury, III (Yvonne); one great-niece, Alexus, and one great-nephew, James, III, and a host of extended family members. His laughter, love, and warmth will be fondly remembered by his daughters, surviving siblings, extended family, and friends.
