Robert Lee Roach affectionately called (Robalee) with his family, was born 1937 in South Carolina to Creasie (Sadie) and Ted Roach. He was number three of ten children and the second oldest son of eleven boys and two girls. His parents migrated to DC for a better life and opportunities.
Upon graduating from McKinley Technology High School in 1965, he enlisted into the U.S. Navy where he served twenty years before retiring. He was recognized for over 50 years as a civil servant working at DC Water & Sewer Authority (WASA) as a steamfitter plumber at Blue Plains.
Robert was preceded in death by siblings Bernard, Earnest, Curtis, Albert and Diane.
He leaves to carry on: wife Sharon, siblings Shirely, John, Raymond Sr., Harvey Sr, Michael, Edward and Tony; children: Amecia (James), Rodney (Cheryl), Verlincia, Alfonso; stepchildren: Fatima Thomas and Solomon Walle; grandchildren: Chiquita, David, Travon, Twins: Britney and Briana, Mikhael, Sheerce, Seasons, Ciera, Summer, Aniya; great grandchildren: London, Josiah, Aamir, Dior, Aviyah, Skylar, Trevon Jr., Shalom, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
