Roberta J. Pace Hemsley, age 73, peacefully transitioned on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 in Rockville, Maryland. 

She was a Registered Nurse and served her community in the Veterans Administration and private practice such as Kensington Nursing Rehabilitation Center, Hebrew Home of Greater Washington, and Brooke Grove Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Sandy Springs, Maryland.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 34 years, Louis A. Hemsley, loving children, Anthony Buttram, Constance Buttram, Cynthia Hall, and stepdaughter, Trina Hemsley-Kettrles.  She is also survived by grandchildren, Patricia, Kristina, Joshua, Olivia, Drake, Selene, Tikara, and Marques, sisters-in-law, Elizabeth C. Smith, Gloria H. Tobe, Michelle H. Tyree, special cousins Ronald and Johnese Stewart and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
