Ruth Elizabeth Roger-Byrd

Ruth (Rogers) Byrd of Washington D.C., was born to the late Clarice and Golden Rogers. She passed on Monday, June 23, 2025 at the graceful age of 87.

As a native Washingtonian, she was educated in the DC public school system. She attended, Logan Elementary, Carroll Jr. High, Cardozo High, and Armstrong Adult Education.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years Corneal Byrd, daughter Carolyn E. Rogers, two sons: Ronald A. Rogers, Michael D. Rogers, two grandsons: Anthony D. Rogers, Ronald Rogers-Richardson, and one great-grandson: Micah Rogers Jordan-Richardson and a host of family members and loving friends. She also leaves her best friends to cherish her memories: Dorothy Spurgess, Vivian Tate; Veronica Felder and Charlotte Morgan.
