Sylvester Augustus Edwards (Affectionately known as Sonny)was on born December 21, 1955 in Kingston, Jamaica to Parents Bertie Edwards and Hazel Powell. He suddenly passed away on April 21, 2022 at 5:59am
Sonny’s Education began at St. Alban Primary School and Later Denham Town Junior Secondary School where he met the love of his life Paulette Deloris. He then graduated and traveled to the United States where he attended Howard University and studied to be a Dental Technician.
Sonny, worked in this field for many years with many private dental facilities. He later pursued other careers which allowed him to take care of his wife and children. Finally, Sonny attended Truck driving school, where he then worked driving Tractor Trailers and Dump trucks for several companies. He later bought his own truck and became an Owner Operator.
Sonny was a very loving person. He loved to help others and enjoyed talking about health, fitness and agriculture. Bicycling was a major part of his day. On a nice day you would likely see Sonny riding his bike in the neighborhood. He loved to cook, his favorite dishes were Brown Stew fish, Ital stew and fish soup. He spent most of his days cooking with Paulette, planting vegetables, gardening and listening to music He loved music.Sonny also had a green thumb, he could bring any failing plant back to life. Sonny also enjoyed keeping up with the news.
Sonny has now joined his Father Bertie Edwards and Daughter Natasha Edwards in eternal rest.
He leaves to mourn his wife Paulette Deloris Edwards, Mother Mabel Powell, Sons-Shawn (Jessena Edwards) and Rakeem Edwards. Daughters- Nicole Edwards and Isha Edwards. Grandaughters- Daysha and Kaliyah Edwards. Grandson-SajeEdwards, Brother-Warren Spencer. Sisters- Fermena Edwards, Carmen McBean, Dawn Dunkley, Susan Edwards, Sharon Edwards, and Debbie Powell & a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
