Walter Vincent Caudle, affectionately known as Vincent by his family and close friends, was the third of five children born to Solomon and Virginia Diane Woods Caudle. He was born on October 4, 1960, in Buffalo, New York, where he lived until his family relocated to Newark, New Jersey, in 1966.
Vincent graduated from Vailsburg High School in 1979 and enrolled in courses at Essex County College and later attended the Newark Skill Center, where he earned a certificate in Basic Electronics. He went on to work for a company in the electronics field. Vincent relocated to the Washington, D.C., Maryland area in February 1986. In May 1989, he began his career with the United States Postal Service, culminating his thirty-six years of service at the Capitol Heights, Maryland, location.
In his younger years, Vincent found joy on the basketball court, where he was known for his energy and love of the game. He was also a skilled chess player and often spent time playing dominoes and spades with close friends and colleagues.
He loved watching Serena and Venus Williams' tennis matches, as well as basketball championships, and was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He loved the soulful sounds of the 1970s, with The Whispers being among his favorite artists.
Above all else, Vincent's greatest source of pride and joy was his daughters, Ashley and Walteara, who were not only his comfort but also the best and most powerful reflections of his legacy. He was proud of them.
Vincent attended church and was baptized at a young age, which introduced him to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Many years ago, he gave his life to Christ, and on June 1, 2025, he rededicated and reaffirmed his faith in Jesus Christ.
Vincent was preceded in death by his father, Solomon Caudle; his mother, Virginia Diane Roberson; his stepfather, Elmer Roberson; and his two elder brothers, Kenneth Derek and Dr. Solomon Fabian Caudle.
